It would be irresponsible of me to tell you that it is okay to have sex 5 days after the first day of your period. That is assuming you mean unprotected sex.

Most women ovulate during the middle of their cycle. However, there are some women who ovulate earlier or later. In addition, to other circumstances such as the use of some prescription medications, stopping any type of hormonal birth control etc..

I'm sorry but unless you would like to become pregnant you should always be very diligent about using some form of birth control.
