Bill Passed - Federal Funding cut for Planned Parenthood

plannedparenthood.jpg

In a pervious post we told you about the possibility that federal funding would be cut for Planned Parenthood if the bill proposed by Mike Pence was passed and sadly for hundreds of thousands of teenage girls and women the bill was passed by 240-185.

The Debate

During debate over that measure, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calf.) took to the floor and delivered an angry and impassioned speech that revealed she'd had an abortion, and to denounce amendment that would take away funding for family planning, sexual health services, and abortions.

Conclusion

Planned Parenthood has proved care for so many girls and women in need and to completely cut their funding because some clinic perform abortions ( a woman’s right) will have more consequences than positive effects on many lives.

House Republicans bent on spending budget cuts are focusing on a traditional GOP bogey: National Public Radio. The proof is here: Cutting federal funding for NPR not likely to hurt public radio James O'Keefe, the right wing video punkster, has even had success sensationalizing the GOP case Budget-wise however, reducing government funds would have a negligible impact on NPR operations.
