Is it safe to store condoms in your suitcase when travelling on a 2/3 hour airplane trip?

Yes. Condoms should be stored

Yes. Condoms should be stored in a cool, dry place. Storing them in your suitcase will not harm them during your travels.
Condoms should not be stored in your wallet as the friction and heat from your body breaks them down or someplace where they sit in the sun, like on your bedside table under a window.
Remember to always check the expiration date on a condom before you use it and be careful opening the package so you do not rip the condom when you are opening the package.
Hope this helps when you are flying the friendly skies.
