What Happens if i take the pill on a thursday on the day of my period ?

Hi, You should always take

Hi,

You should always take your birth control pills as prescribed by your doctor. If you started your period on Thursday you should be taking the "sugar" pills not the normal birth control pills.

If you take the normal birth control pill when you have your period it is likely to mess up your cycle and you may experience break through bleeding, spotting, longer and heavier periods and you will be unprotected so you could become pregnant.

Please consult your doctor if you feel you have taking the pills incorrectly and he/she will advice you as to how to get back on the right track with the pills.

Best Regards,
TammyM
