I read that when taking a birth control pill a woman should stop for a month or so after taking the Pill for several months so as not to decrease or lose fertility. Is this true?

Hi Ani, No, women take birth

Hi Ani,

No, women take birth control pills for several years and still easily become pregnant after stopping them. If you are concerned about a decrease or loss of fertility you should talk to your doctor about another type of birth control.

Best of Luck,
