i do not feel the string of my IUD since sunday is this a problem?

Hi Sophiac, As long as you

Hi Sophiac,

As long as you are certain that the IUD didn't fall out there is no reason for alarm. When the time comes to remove it if your doctor cannot locate the strings you may need it surgical removed or the doctor will use a special tool to retrieve the string. Either way the removal procedure is no more painful than the insertion. The strings are very thin and it may have just moved to a spot where you cannot feel it. In a few days or weeks you may notice the string again. Don't worry!

Best of Luck,
TammyM
