You might also ask your doctor about a type of combined oral contraceptive pill called extended cycle pills, where women get their periods only four times a year. It works in the same way, by reducing the number of pill-free intervals which trigger menstruation. Some women think it is very nice having fewer periods, although others think it is quite unnatural.
