Is it possible to ovulate more than once during your cycle?

During most cycles you will ovulate only one time. And the egg will live for only twelve to 24 hours. However, in some cases you will ovulate twice. The second ovulation will be within 24 hours of the first one. This is how people sometimes people get pregnant with fraternal twins is because of these two ovulations. But besides that there are no other ovulations during the menstrual cycle. If there were natural family planning could not work at all.
