No it is not safe to have sex without a condom. Unless you are using another reliable method of birth control such as the pill, an IUD, spermicide, etc...
Condoms not only prevent pregnancy they also prevent sexually transmitted diseases. Some STD's can be very nasty and even leave you unable to have children or with a lifelong incurable disease such as herpes and of course there is always HIV and AIDS.
You need to be responsible and protect yourself and your partner, Condoms can be obtained at many clinics and doctors offices for free!
