Can i get infected if am not using a condom, even though i am on the injection

Absolutely, yes! A

Absolutely, yes! A contraceptive injection will not offer ANY protection from sexually transmitted disease. Depo-Provera can actually suppress the immune system. This may be one reason why Depo-Provera seems to increase the risk of acquiring HIV and other STDs from an infected partner. A latex or polyurethane (plastic) condom is a much better plan than relying on an injection for disease protection.

Condoms are not 100% effective in preventing STDs, and casual sex is risky for many reasons. Now, honestly, if you are worried about STD infection, get to know your partner before having sex. I would never have sex with an infected partner, even with a condom.
