i have just had a contraceptive implant taken out last friday. when should i expect a period? is it a few weeks before i should expect one?

Hi, Not knowing what type of

Not knowing what type of implant makes it difficult to give you a good answer. You should contact your doctor and ask him/her. They should of told you when you would start your period after they did the removal. Some women start their period as soon as it is removed and others spot some and do not have a period until their regular schedule has come around again.

You may also want to consider pregnancy if you were sexually active five days before the removal. Sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days.

Sorry, I could not be more help. At this point you should call your doctor and ask.

Best of Luck,
