In a recent study performed by Joris Lammers, of Tilburg University in the Netherlands says powerful women are just as likely to cheat on their spouses or partner as men are.

The Study

Lammers and his team of researchers analyzed the data from one thousand five hundred and sixty-one people. The questions the participants answered were about their confidence level, level of power they held at work and any risks associated with infidelity.

The Results

The results reveled two things one confidence and power go together like two pees in a pod. If an individual has one there is a strong likelihood, they will also posses the other. The greater the power and confidence an individual has the more likely they are to cheat. The second thing researchers discovered during the study was that gender did not play a role male or female were both as likely to cheat.

Conclusion

A quote from Joris Lammers about his study “As more and more women are in greater positions of power and are considered equal to men, then familiar assumptions about their behavior may also change. This may lead to increased negative behaviors among women that in the past have been more common among men," he said.
