New Study - A Woman’s Tears can Sink a Man’s Sex Drive
You may be thinking that a crying woman will sink any man’s libido and that is true. However, what we are talking about here has nothing to do with emotions it is actually the scent of the tears that kill the libido.
Tears & Testosterone
Men who smell a crying woman’s tears have been found to produce less testosterone and oddly, they also found the faces of the female gender less arousing. This information came from a study performed by neuroscientist Noam Sobel he is also quoted as saying “And here, we’ve uncovered the chemical word for “no” or “not now.”
The Study
The study took place at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel and was headed by neuroscientist Noam Sobel. The study was made up of fifty men and part of the study was to determine why humans cry part of an evolutionary study.
The study also included six women who watched a tearjerker movie and then their tears were placed in a test tube. The fifty men sniffed the tears and the researchers tested their testosterone levels dropped by an average of thirteen percent. The men whom were shown erotic images before an MRI scan showed less activity in the regions of the brain that show sexual arousal.
